Rachele Kelsall ACII, Chartered Insurance Broker

Career background

I began my career in September 1986 as a trainee Claims Handler at a branch of a major insurer in Bradford. Since then I have moved through various insurance disciplines, organisations and counties! After spending some enjoyable and interesting years as a Loss Adjuster and passing my exams to become a Chartered Insurance Broker, I moved to Norfolk in 2000 to work in claims management. I developed a whole new set of skills and knowledge before moving on to work in London for the same company in a business development position for their risk management division. That role enabled me to build on my technical insurance knowledge to deliver alternative risk and insurance solutions for some of the largest UK and global businesses.
After my son was born in 2007 I returned to Norfolk and took a sales and marketing job with national broker. This was my introduction to the Norfolk business community which I am proud to be part of. I joined Hugh J Boswell in 2012 where my key responsibilities are focused on our Education and Leisure and Tourism sectors. I am also a member of our Senior Leadership Team working with colleagues to set the strategic direction of the business.

Why Hugh J Boswell?

Hugh J Boswell is independently owned with the shareholding directors actively engaged in the business. After many years of working within a corporate structure it is a joy to be a colleague in a dynamic organisation with a flat management structure where clients are entirely at the centre of the decision making.

Interests

Outside of work I like to run and am an enthusiastic member of a local book club. I also have an unhealthy addiction to American drama boxsets – go on then, just one more episode, who needs sleep anyway?!?
