Tom Moy

Career Background

I worked at Sainsburys straight from school while I was studying at college and then again while I was studying towards my degree from the University of East Anglia. I joined Aviva as a Commercial Motor Claims Handler in 2015. After a year or so I progressed into Personal Motor and dealt with Aviva direct personal car insurance claims before moving into the Liability Team, where I was responsible for investigating liability on claims for all Aviva personal lines branded claims. I was then made redundant from Aviva in 2020. Between then and starting at Hugh J Boswell, I worked a few part-time zero contracted hour jobs before joining Hugh J Boswell in July 2021.

Why Hugh J Boswell?

What initially drew my attention to Hugh J Boswell was seeing a picture of the beautiful building the office is located in while I was still working at Aviva. I remember thinking to myself then that that building must be so cool to work in. Then when I was made redundant and was looking for another full time role, I saw the job advertised at Hugh J Boswell and I remembered the lovely office building so I tried my luck and applied.

Interests

My two golden retrievers are my life, they’re both boys. Henry is 8 years old and Hamish is 11 months. They love long walks and playing tug of war with their toys in the kitchen. They also create a lot of vacuuming! Furry friends aside, I love music and I play piano and I’m currently studying towards my grade 2 exam. Royal Albert Hall here I come!
